Rainbow Scrap Challenge - No Teal Yet

It was a long and busy week.  I had hoped to get in more stitching time than I did, but some weeks that just doesn't happen.  I can only hope that March will be better.

I've been working on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler blocks in between the Jigsaw blocks.  Only one of the pink sampler blocks got finished.

I think this one is called 4 corners.  There are two others in the assembly stage over at the machine.

So progress, it's just been slow going.  I did finally finish up all the blue sampler blocks this week.

I'm happy with how all of these turned out.  It will be fun to mix in all the pink blocks when those get done.

That's about all I've managed in terms of scrap sewing.  The sampler is helping be get my scraps better organized.  I had pretty much just dumped scraps into a drawer.  I've been cutting up and sorting the smaller pieces into zip lock bags by size.  The larger pieces are getting folded up and put back in the drawer neatly, sorted by color.
No teal blocks yet.  I'm going to have to dig deep to find any much teal.   Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time to dig out what's there.

Check out all the cool ways you can play with scraps over at Soscrappy.

  7. Your blocks are looking great so far! Some months are better for sewing than others, don't get discouraged though, farbric keeps.

  8. That pink block is so pretty, I like the geometric block in with the dots and leaves.

  9. Pink and teal scraps in my sewing room would make one block each, I'm thinking! My scraps are overwhelming me at the moment and a cutting session is in the works! Hope your machine gets more pedal time this week:)

  10. I probably have quite a few variations of teal/aqua and turquoise in my stash -pop on over and grab what you like.

Some weeks life just intrudes on sewing time. Hoping you get to play a bit more this week.

  12. Your pinks and blues are looking great and you have so many! I was lucky to get in this month with teal/aqua as I already had a few scraps cut and ready to go, just had to sew, phew.

  13. You did good this week Kate :) Your blocks look fabulous!
At least you managed to make a post to your blog. By the time I'd sewn up another pink block it was late Sunday... so thought that it'd have to wait until next weekend. I need to change the colour on my blog too ;)
