All of that adds up to not much time spent in the sewing room. I did manage a couple of hours last night. Several of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler blocks are in progress, but none got finished. All the half square triangles for the Inverted Star block are made and squared up. I got as far as deciding on the layout before I knocked off for the evening.

All but two of my pink scraps is included in this block. It's obvious it's not a color I use often. But I'm happy with the variety in this block. Hopefully it will get sewn together this weekend.
That's it for any scrappy goodness going on in my sewing room. Check out all the fun scrappiness going on over at Soscrappy.
What a wonderful block! Don't you just love craftsy? I didn't have much pink either, never realized till this challenge that I don't use it much.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty block, and it's coming along nicely. Some weeks are like that: the rest of life gets in the way. Just be glad there are other things in your life to get in the way!
ReplyDeleteFebruary is just too short to cram everything in. Sure could use those 2 or 3 extra days the other months have. Your inverted star will be lovely. Hope you have time to finish the stitching today. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the star. I will have to look for the pattern and make some. Very pretty pinks.

ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a great block! Thanks for showing it in the construction stage - I had not really noticed how the block was constructed.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this block before. That's why I love this challenge, it gives me so many ideas, all I need is more than 24hours in the day!

ReplyDeleteYour pink Inverted Star looks great! Congrats on using up your pink scraps.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty block, and your pinks are nice too. As I've worked in pink this month I've started to think that the reason I don't like it much is that I have the wrong shades of pink.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pink block! Or any colour!!
ReplyDeleteComing along nicely!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful variety of pinks in your block. Good job.
ReplyDeleteI really love this block. No worries - February does last until Friday after all. I know I'll still have some pink to post next week.
ReplyDeletesounds like life is very busy at this time but you have managed to lay out such a pretty pink block from your scraps. i'm not normally a big fan of pink but you have changed my mind with this block.
