Rainbow Scrap Challenge - In the Pink

Thankfully we missed all the bad weather this week.  Though the week hasn't been smooth sailing.  Drama Teen woke up Tuesday with what we thought was a sinus infection, but ended up being strep.  Of course they put her on antibiotics, but by Thursday morning she's throwing up.  I'd forgotten that she doesn't tolerate amoxicillin very well.  So back to the pharmacy for an anti-nausea aid.  She finally made it back to school Friday.

I ended up having to work late a few nights in order to make up the time spent with DT due to her illness, so not a lot of sewing happened this week.  I did finish this month's scrappy butterfly block.

available in EQ 7 Block Library

I'm happy with how it turned out.  I'm up to three butterflies now (one is from last year).  I've been playing around with settings for these blocks, but haven't come up with one I'm in love with yet.

I'm still stitching half square triangles for this month's Inverted Star block and one of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler blocks is in progress.  That's about all I had time for this week.

I'm linking up with Soscrappy before we head out the door for today's volleyball tournament.  Check out all the cool scrap projects in the works there.

  8. Such pretty butterfly's! Love the pink print in this months. With the pretty blue background they could be flying in the sky with a few clouds added in for the top.
Hope your daughter is feeling better.

  18. Very pretty butterflies.

Poor DT hope she is feeling much better soon. My hubby ended up in hospital on Amoxicillin and he just about has a heart attack every time the kids are put on it. It upsets my kids stomachs as well but not bad enough to vomit just feel sick sometimes you wonder if the antibiotics are worth it. I don't know what the equivalent of strep is here our Drs don't use that term.

  19. Do you have more of that background fabric? You could use it to put the blocks together "every which way" so that it looks like they're flying. Making a few smaller ones would add to the illusion.

Hope DT is well and truly over it by now.
