Stash Report - September 16th

Volleyball went OK yesterday.  They lost their first set, but won the second.  Not bad for a team that has never played together before.  Only seven more weeks till the season is over, then we'll start club volleyball.  At least Drama Teen decided to drop swimming.  We won't be running as much as we did last year when she did both.  Maybe the house will get a bit cleaner and a few more quilts will get done.

We did get home in time for me to do some sewing yesterday evening.  Most of what I did was cutting and no real sewing.  Still there is a bit going out for the week.

Used last week:  0.75 yards
Added last week:  0 yards

Used for 2012:  30.17 yards
Added for 2012:  246.88 yards

Net stashed for 2012:  216.71 yards

I've managed to clear 30 yards out.  That's still less than half of what my target was for the year.  With only a little over 3 months left in the year, I don't think I'm making that goal this year.

That's it for me this week.  To see the state of the stash in other places, check out the postings over at Patchwork Times.

  1. I went to buy 1/2 metre of homespun today at a 30% off sale -- came home with 7 metres! But I do have plans for all of it!

  2. It is so hard to resist all the new, fun fabric that is being made this year. Enjoy your time with your daughter, it goes by so fast.

  3. We did the vollyball, swim, dance, thing for years with only one child and often wondered how families with more did it. Years ago, when we were childless, a friend had 3 kids. When they had something on the same night we became the surrogate parents!

  4. I remember those days ... don't miss them *too* much! Our next dilemma will come when grandkids have *big* events and games all over the place!! I'm really hoping that my biggest usage of the year comes in the next few months. A girl can always dream, right?! LOL! :)

  5. My youngest played volleyball. I enjoyed it but was glad when it as over. My boys did baseball and basketball.

I am amazed at how just using a few scraps really clears things up. I've used a bunch of my leftover backing fabrics and the drawers are much easier to get into.

  6. Yeah, I'm starting to feel the effects of running around to activities! And I keep adding to the stash, so no outs really hurts!
