I've been MIA on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge the last few months. I just got behind on the blocks and didn't catch up till last weekend. Now all my red, green, pink and yellow blocks are done. I finished up the first purple block earlier this week.
I hope to get at least one of the coffee cups done this week. I'll have to wait till next month to make the final E to spell out "coffee" so the current status picture of the Scrappy Coffee Cups quilt looks a bit incomplete.
The cups use a lot more pieces and are a lot more intricate to piece than I'm used too, but it's been a fun project. The scraps I've used to date come from seven different quilt projects. It's fun to look at the different cups and think about how those same fabrics were used in the other projects.
Check out SoScrappy to see other scrappy uses of the color purple.
It's going to be a darling quilt when finished! What will the dimensions be? Happy Saturday!
