I had a mini relapse last week. Wednesday and Thursday evening were spent pretty much in the recliner. A bit of insomnia made me too tired to sew those two nights. But I was back at it on Friday. So overall, not a bad week.
I haven't done much with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks or my May UFO. I'd like to finish up the Fat Quarter Stars top then work on those two projects. I need to come up with a back for the FQS. Not sure there will be enough left overs to piece a back. That had been my original plan, but looking at what's left, I may have to buy something.
So are you finding 15 minutes or more a day to indulge your creativity, play with fabric, or maybe even actually sew a few seams. Link up and share your challenges or successes for the week.

Way to go, Kate! You inspire me. I actually completed 4, albeit very tiny, projects over this last week. I deliberately left the room messy with scraps and just kept stitching. Your 15-minute challenge does work! ☺ Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me too -- I'm so impressed that you make it into the sewing mode nearly every day!! I get so caught up in 'stuff' that I sometimes forget, although having hand stitching nearby usually means I'm at least working on that daily! :)
ReplyDeleteKate, Thanks for the encouraging email!! And here is my post! Where do all of you get your cute bkgds for your posts?
ReplyDeletegood job Kate~!
ReplyDeletei managed all seven days but some of them were just the bare minimum of 15 minutes. so happy to be moving forward even if it is sometimes at a pretty slow pace.

Eventually those small snippets of time add up and you can get projects finished so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteI've been so tired this past week that I don't think I've touched my sewing after work at all! My big effort occurred over the weekend.
It all adds up when you just do a little bit at I time if only I could be so disciplined with housework
ReplyDeleteIf I had to climb stairs to sew after a day at work, nothing would ever get done. Fortunately our house is on one level and I am retired so I can sew in the daytime and no stairs are involved! So, what I am trying to say is, good on you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good week, with just a small break in the middle. thanks for the encouragement and the challenge.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Kate. When I'm tired I don't even try to sew anymore, knowing that I can make too many mistakes.
