Some days it was only 15 minutes, but I managed some time 7 out of the last 7 days. The Geisha quilt is finished (posted here). I finished piecing the back for the purple and yellow scrap quilt last night. So now I just need to press the top and the back, then package them up to ship to Trudy for quilting. So last week was a good one. Unless I get to feeling better quickly, this week may not be so good.
How did you do last week? Were you able to find some time to sew one day, all seven days? Link up and share how the week went or didn't go as the case may be.

Ugh! My husband and son are feeling the allergies this week, too. I think it's the cottonwood that's floating around. Interestingly while I'm allergic to the cottonwood buds, the fluff has no effect on me. Good job on getting the quilt/backing finished up!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely LOVE the geisha quilt~!!~and congratulations on a full week of meeting the challenge.
ReplyDeletei'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. i hope that there is some relief for you very soon.

I feel your pain - get better soon. Sinusitis has caught up with me again and promises to be here for a long time - it's caused by my neighbour's chimney and winter hasn't even started yet!
ReplyDeleteI hate sinus, most of my migraines start with a sinus headache these days. I swear by saline spray and last resort saline nasal irrigation. I don't bother using the sinus drugs we have down hear now that they don't work because they have taken all the stuff that cleared it up quick out of them so undesirables couldn't make other drugs out of them. Hope it clears up soon and you are feeling better and back sewing.

ReplyDeleteHi Kate
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment on my goldfinch posting. I'm happy to link up with you for Wordless Wednesdays.
Congratulations on a great week. 7 of 7. I need to take up the challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteYou have been having wonderful weeks for getting your quilting done. Sorry to hear you are getting allergy attacks now. After these past weeks of feeling ill with a cold/sinus due to allergies, I can sympathize with you.
ReplyDeleteWow! Allergies have dominated my life the past month or so. I didn't know it was allergies though until I went to the doctor. I sure understand feeling zapped and ill with the allergies - and send lots of good wishes your way! Amazing that you were able to sew all days even when not feeling tip top.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're felling better soon Kate. Spring certainly is a double edged sword!
ReplyDeleteBut I bet you're doing the happy dance about being able to pop that quilt in a package and sending it off for quilting!
