Stash Report - February 12th

Winter finally decided to pay a visit to Oklahoma this week.  It's been in the high 30s/low 40s all week, then it got really cold yesterday.  Today will be no better.  Snow is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.  I think the cold zapped all my quilting mojo this week.  Not much going on in the sewing room this week, well at least not in front of the machine.  A bit of sewing got done on the McCall's Mystery quilt, so there is a little something to report.

Used last week: 0.27 yards
Added last week:  0 yards

Used for 2012:  3.94 yards
Added for 2012:  30.5 yards

Net stashed for 2012:  26.56 yards

Not a stellar week, but not a complete loss either.  Hopefully the quilting mojo will return with the warmer weather forecast for next week.

As usual, I'm linking up with Judy's Stash Report over at Patchwork Times.

  1. Sounds like a time of using quilts instead of making quilts. That's when I bind one of the stack needing binding. I am warm and get to quilt too.

  2. Now your header picture of the snowy road feels appropiate. Keep warm and I sure hope it's just snow and not freezing rain that's coming our way.

  3. Keep on stitching! Winter arrived in central Florida last night - frost warnings, and they'll stick around for the next few days. Not winter to everyone else, but I have to wait until the afternoon for my sewing room to warm up!

  5. It's only week 7 - you'll get some quilting mojo going again. It's funny - I'm just the opposite - love the cold weather for quilting. Of course, I'm a little weird b/c I kinda like the cold weather -- and snow, too. It balances out al those nasty hot hot hot days we have during St. Louis summers.

  7. It's been too hot here to get into much sewing. I especially love hand quilting or hand sewing binding when it's cold, it's nice to snuggle under the quilt while working on it .

  9. Hope you get your mojo back. I started looking at that Rainbow Rotini mystery the other day, and then decided I didn't have the right combination of fabrics. I'll wait to see the whole thing and see if it's something I want to do. I think it's hard to select fabrics for a mystery.
