Days off are definitely a favorite thing, but I actually had another favorite I wanted to share. My poor workhorse FujiFilm Finepix Z point and shoot camera is dying. Once the subject of a another FTF post, the little thing has been used so much that the slider off/on switch doesn't always turn the camera on. Several
It's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V. It takes 16.2 mega pixel pictures, has one of the best optical zooms available plus all kind of cool functions.
I've been so happy with it that the DSLR hasn't been out of the camera bag much since Christmas. In fact, it hadn't seen the light of day until I pulled it out and set it up to take the pictures for this post. This Sony now resides in my purse so I have a camera with me where ever I go, because you never know when you'll see that "perfect for a post" photograph. I just need to work on stopping to take said photo rather than just driving on by.
Have a wonderful weekend. Brighten up your Friday by checking out all the other favorite things posted over at Quilting in My Pyjamas.
That's a great little camera. Happy FTF.
ReplyDeleteOh yea, a new camera! Good job, hubby.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your camera, and here's to getting your day in your sewing room!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great camera (and a great hubby)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great hubby! My Fugi has been having some problems too and we bought a new Canon for Christmas too. I'm not as inspired as you though and haven't picked it up yet.
ReplyDeleteIf you live in Australia nobody ever looks at you sideways if you swear under your breath. I don't get my SLR out as much now because I have an Iphone (though it isn't as good as a small point and shoot) it is good enough for most of my blog shots. At least I don't have to edit photo's before I post them which does save time.
ReplyDeleteYay, what a great camera (and hubby).
ReplyDeleteAfter Shay's post and Amanda's comment, you are going to think that we all swear, I don't, lmao.
A lovely gift. We gave my mum a pocket-sized camera for Christmas because she found the one dad bought her several years ago too big and bulky. Have a lovely half day, a great swim-meet and a productive day off.
ReplyDeleteROFL at Marg's comment. You should Skype with her sometime....
ReplyDeleteI know the excitement of a new camera having got one for my birthday last year (coincidentally a Sony also ). How fabulous is your husband for thinking of this wonderful gift. Good luck with getting those blackmail shots. Take plenty of pictures during the teen years . They are definitely the ones she will hate most when you do a montage for her 21st!
what a great FTF! and how great that your husband got the camera for you for Christmas. He's very thoughtful. Enjoy the swim meet and your day off.
ReplyDeleteYou know...I've been looking for a new camera. I'll have to check this one out after your rave review! Enjoy your time off and the swim meet!
