Can you believe that it is the last weekend in October? Our morning temperatures have dipped into the below freezing range, though it's still nice in the afternoon. It's definitely fall.
With the cooler temps you'd think there would be more going on in the sewing room. Unfortunately I think less went on this week than last week. Definitely less fabric getting used.
Used this week: 0.53 yards
Added this week: 0 yards
Used year to date: 48.67 yards
Added year to date: 60.25 yards
Net stashed for 2011: 11.58 yards
There have been no additions to the stash for the last 10 weeks, so that's working in my favor. Unfortunately that's going to change this next week. I don't have enough of any fabric to put borders on the purple/yellow scrap quilt, so I'm going to need to order a few yards of a dark and a light purple so I can finish that project. On the bright side that fabric will come in, then go right back out.
That's it for me this week. Check out Patchwork Times for more tales of the stash.
The temperatures are rising here but DD and I had a fairly productive weekend in the sewing room and I have not added any fabric this week!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe you have gone 10 weeks without adding to your stash, thats willpower!!
ReplyDeleteCold here also, 33 degrees this morning, feels like winter not fall.
Ten weeks is a good run! I don't think I've gone longer than two.
ReplyDelete10 weeks?! What will power!
ReplyDeleteTen weeks? Seriously? I think my Personal best is about 5 weeks and that was pushing it.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great and any fabric you get for the border will soon be used. Looking forward to seeing more of your blocks that you were working on last week.

Oh, I hate messing up my stash report when I'm forced into the fabric store just so I can finish something. It's like trying to eat just one cookie. I can never seem to leave without something else in the bag. You're making progress and that's what counts.
ReplyDeleteI need to update mine. I went into the black last week....then ordered more fabric.....
