It's time for Favorite Things Friday! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's post this week. Mrs. P finally delivered on her big "favorite thing" that's she's been teasing us with for the last couple of weeks. Congratulations to Mrs. P. Check out Mrs. P's post and all the other cool favorite things over at Quilting in My Pyjamas.
So what's my favorite thing this week. With the time change back to standard time in the US, I can again see the sun coming up on my way to work. I love sunrises. Here are some of my favorites.
My husband and I have been early risers for many years. We never tire of watching first light steal over the rose buses and light the brick outside of the dining room window while we sit at the table with our coffee. That's usually a perfect start to any morning.
What's your favorite thing this week?
Gee getting up that early has to have some compensations and your photos are lovely. I can't even imagine getting to work before the sun rises!

Beautiful sunrise photos. I'm an early riser too, although the sun comes up here in summer way too early even for me.
ReplyDeleteMust admit I like sunrise to its nice to go for a walk and head home with the sun coming up in the east.
ReplyDeleteI love the time change, too - kind of. I am the early riser in this house and I love that it's been getting light here around 6:15 or so. What I don't love is that it now will be getting dark before dinner. But, that's the seasons, and it all has it's beauty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your sunrise pictures, they are beautiful.
I hate the time changes. I'm an early riser, but here in Canada, even at 6:30 am we have light even in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till march...I love the sunrise and your photos tell it all.
Thanks for your lovely comment, and love the early mornings too, its daylight here at 5am and my bedroom faces east so thats when i get up, looks like you got snow already, have a great weekend with lots of sewing!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing is that it was a three day work week for me! I am up between 3-4 every morning and love to listen to the roosters crow round us. A rare thing in Las Vegas :)
ReplyDeleteI did about 14 years as a nurse so I saw plenty of sunrises. Yours are glorious.
ReplyDeleteThere's something almost magical about the world when it's just waking up isnt there? It's so still and quiet.
Thanks for linking up to FTF and sharing your beautiful sunrises.
Lovely photos. I love sunrises and sunsets but would rather not get up too early! At the moment I get to work long before sunrise which is a bit of a nightmare!
