It was a nice, easy weekend and I got to spend 2 afternoons of it in my sewing room. So what do I have to show for it? I got caught up on the
"Seeing Stars" BOM sponsored by
Country Junk'tion. Now all that is left is the center block and the borders, which haven't been posted yet. I have the fabric picked out for the center star, so I'm ready to go once the pattern is posted.
I spent the rest of the weekend prepping two quilts for binding. I did get the binding made, sewn on the front, and started hand sewing the binding to the back for one of the two.
Oh what a treat - two afternoons!!! I love the way you are playing with value - the darker fabrics are really making a big difference!!
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful stars. I love blue and yellow together. Good for you! Two afternoons in my sewing room sounds dreamy on a Monday morning.

ReplyDeleteLovely stars and in one of my fav color combinations! Great work!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the rest of this beauty. I hate binding but have a queen size ready to hand sew down. Now to get motivated to do it.
ReplyDeleteI love the variety you have gotten with just two colors. This will be a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty.

ReplyDeleteLove the color combo -- this is very pretty!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue & yellow stars! And now you/ CJ keep us guessing for the middle part... It sure will look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBlue and yellow are so perfect together. Can't wait to see the center. I too did some binding prep work for three quilts I'm expecting shortly from my quilter. One was 380" and another 350" long. The third one is a tree skirt that wasn't exactly easy to figure out the lenght. So I just made a lot! Hope it's enough.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks! There are a lot of BOMs using stars but stars are so wonderful in a quilt! Good job!
ReplyDeleteLots to look at and admire in these blocks. Good way to spend a weekend, for sure.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue and yellow stars! Thanks for the link to the B.O.M. I think:) Glad you had some productive sewing time!
