It was actually a pretty good week on the progress front. The goal is to maintain that this week.
To Do List for 02/10/2026
1. Kate's Choice: Assemble quilt top and decide on borders
The last row is assembled. Now to stitch that to the other bottom two rows and sew the two halves together. I'll definitely get that far this week. Next step is to decide if I want to try quilting borders and add those to the center.
2. SAHRR (Quilting Gail): Start the 4th prompt
The sampler has been a fun way to keep up with the SAHRR. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.
3. Scenic Waypoint (Meadow Mist Designs): Finish hourglass, center units and start corner units
I've made good progress on all the components part, but haven't finished a given step yet. I'm getting close to finishing up the hour glass blocks. This week's instructions for the Stash Busting Quilt along are to make all the corner blocks.
4. Magnificent Mystery (Meadow Mist Designs): Continue block assembly.
One of the A blocks is assembled. I'm happy with my fabric choices. I got started on a B block, but didn't get it finished. I'm not setting a firm number of blocks to finish, I'll just keep plugging along on block construction and hope that assembly happens in early March.
5. Wild and Goosey (Bonnie Hunter): Sash green blocks
The green blocks have been my leaders and enders this week. It's been slow going making them that way, but some progress is better than none.
I'm making steady progress on multiple projects, so it's been a good year so far. Hopefully that will continue. Linking up with the Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday.

sorry to hear about hubby's early retirement--do hope all will work out for you both money wise and such--maybe you can move closer to 'my girl' now???????? hugs, di
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, it sounds like you have had a lot to process, consider, and do in your household. I will be thinking of you and your husband as you work to establish a new routine. Looks like you made wonderful progress, and I hope you continue to enjoy seeing your progress on the projects this week.
ReplyDeleteit seems like you were involuntary retired too - this will make an adjustment for him and for you
ReplyDeleteLove that bright dotted fabric with the black. The colors really pop.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you're having to deal with Your Guy's situation. So stressful. I hope everything works out for you. I'm glad you have your sewing projects to work on for some calm among the uncertainty. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteYou've been making good progress on multiple projects, so that's always good! I love the dot fabric in different colors for your Scenic Waypoint quilt. I hope you and your guy are making good progress on figuring out his next steps, too.
ReplyDeleteThe blues in that quilt block where the north, south, east, and west points are reminds me of one of the fabrics developed for the Ovarian Cancer fundraiser we used to do in Blogland a while back. Pretty combo. Can’t wait to see how Kate’s Choice turns out. It’s one of those times when I wouldn’t necessarily have put those colors together, but they work so well. (I’ve had a few of those myself.)
ReplyDeleteThe Magnificent Mystery block is beautiful! How's the weather up your way?
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your guy is doing okay with that, I'm sure it's hard to take.
ReplyDeleteHow much more to go on the Wild & Goosey?
So sorry to hear about your guy's unplanned retirement. That's not the way anyone wants a job to end, but I'm sure the two of you will figure out a way forward. Your projects are looking great!
