Stitching Stuff: Week 27 of 2025

We had a wonderful 4th of July holiday with my family.  Grad Girl made it home. She'll be here all this week, then she heads back home to pack and move.  I did pretty well at fitting in some stitching time most days.

  • 15 minute days/week = 6/7 days
  • 15 minute days/June =  27/30 days
  • 15 minute days/2025 = 175/186 days
  • Success rate = 94.09%

I didn't get any stitching time in on the 4th, we were just too busy cooking and hanging out with family for me to have time to pull out my stitching.  But I did work in some time in the sewing room other than that day. So not a bad week.

How are doing finding time to stitch this summer? Are you out and about in the garden or like me trying to stay cool in the sewing room?

  1. Did your family all meet up at your home? Cooking with family is the best. So happy for you to have Grad Girl home for a bit. I bet I've already asked this, but is she moving out of CS?

  2. So glad you had a fun 4th! We did, too, and so I didn't do much sewing that day either. I harvested my first cucumber and ate it yesterday - yum! Have a great Sunday, Kate!

  3. Glad you were able to spend the holiday weekend with Grad Girl and hope you continue to have lots of good air conditioned sewing time! It's been hot here so I've tried to keep my outdoor work to the mornings so I can settle in to stitch later in the day.

  4. How nice to have GG home with you for a whole week. If she's moving, does that mean she found a job? That must be exciting for her.

  7. Hi Kate, now that we have AC, I try to have my coffee in the backyard in the morning, then I stay away from the heat as much as possible! I haven't done much sewing but my studio is now respectable and comfortable so it won't be difficult to spend time there :-) have a great week.

  8. I forgot to even post about our 4th. We didn't have near the family this year but we still had a great time.
