Stitching Stuff: Week 11 of 2023

My stitching week hasn't been very productive.  My shoulder and back have not improved. I've stayed off the computer and out of the sewing room for most of the week as instructed.  That's resulted in me finding other activities that are contributing to the problem. I'm hoping to get a handle on both issues sooner rather than later.  I miss my sewing room as you can see from this week's stats.

  • 15 minute days/week = 3/7 days
  • 15 minute days/March = 11/19 days
  • 15 minute days/ 2023 = 63/78 days
  • Success rate = 80.77%
Fingers crossed that I can find and eliminate the triggers that are causing these physical issues. I miss my sewing room.

How did you do at finding time to stitch?

I'm sorry your shoulders and back issues continue - I'm sure by now PT has been suggested? hope something works.

I hope you can figure out what is causing all the problems with your shoulders and back soon so that you can get back to quilting.

Sorry the shoulder and back pain continues. Hope you feel better soon.

Too bad about the shoulder, I hope you can figure it out. I've been recuperating from a quick virus and getting back in the sewing room a few hours at a time. Hopeful to have something to post this week!

I can empathise with that, I hope it resolves soon. The hardest part is to actually stop and wait for it to heal. Patience is the hardest part. I’m just getting back into stitching after a long break. This week I sold my old Bernina for a great price, and I resumed stitching the quilt I had started before my parents became ill. I’m hoping to finish the top this next fingers crossed.

I sure hope you find a solution to the pain. Must be very frustrating! Since I've been stuck at home with Covid - but not feeling sick - I had LOTS of sewing time this week.

Yes keep taking care of yourself and rest your back and shoulder. They will serve you well in the future. I hope you feel better soon. I have coworkers who see a chiropractor regularly.

Oh No Kate. I was hoping the shoulder and back issues were behind you. We are all hoping it gets better soon so you can get back to doing what you love. 😉

Hi Kate, I sure hope that you'll figure it out and that there may be some exercises or something that you can do to work it out. Best of luck!

I am so sorry that you are still feeling poorly. It is hard to stay inactive when one is used to doing so much. I would probably find myself doing the same thing in finding another activity to occupy my mind. I hope you are able to figure out what is triggering the pain and strains.
