That was actually a pretty easy selection process. The Scientist in Training's birthday is this month and I promised her a quilt. The top 4 rows are pinned together to be stitched and the last row for the bottom of the quilt is pinned ready for stitching too.
I'd like to get this into a finished flimsy so I can wrap that for her birthday. But the OMG for January is to get the flimsy done, a back made and get it shipped out for quilting. That should be doable this month. It won't be a finish till next month, but I think the SIT will be OK with that.
My overall priority list looks like this for January:
1. Geek Chic - finish quilt assembly, make back, prep for quilting and shipping.
2. On Ringo Lake - decide on a path forward (my fabrics didn't work so well in Bonnie's layout, but there are a couple of other assembly options that might work OK)
4. Magnolia Mystery blocks - new leaders and enders project, finish piecing the blocks.
5. Finish the 2017 RSC fan blocks
6. Make Inverted Star border blocks in light blue for RSC challenge
7. Start 2018 RSC Scrappy Sampler project
Well, at least now I'm down to just 7 active projects.
Linking up over at Elm Street Quilts for this month's One Monthly Goal.
Sounds like a great project. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
ReplyDeleteYour goal sounds ambitious........ I will be watching....... Looked like such fun that I joined in.........Thank you for the information.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that you do get the quilt top finished for SIT cause I am wanting to see it too!!!
ReplyDeleteProjects all sound like good goals--
so keep stitching away--
enjoy-di
Wow...you are definitely braver than me. I have so many UFOS, but have found I can only concentrate on 3 projects at a time and make any headway. Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteYour secret sewing just cracked me up!! Have fun! SIT will love it I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t set any goals yet. Picking one a month randomly this year, maybe! Right now the sewing room is a huge mess, but once all the Christmas items are out of it, some sewing will happen. Good luck for your monthly goal and project list!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a January list, but I an glad you prioritised Vintage dresses, well done on getting that one done. Good Luck with your Greek Chic project but I'm betting you will demolish it, and some of the other stuff too. Yay for 15 minutes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good list of goals to keep you out of trouble! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your goals!
ReplyDeleteSo it wasn't just me -- you were definitely hiding the quilt. Good luck with your goals - they seem quite doable.
ReplyDeleteOoh, yay, can’t wait to see geek chic!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's an ambitious list! But you're so organized I know you'll knock it out. Have fun Kate!
