15 Minute Challenge - June 7th

The weatherman is saying highs yesterday were in the low 90's, but the car thermometer said it was 100 F when I got off work yesterday.  Summer has definitely arrived in Oklahoma.

I sunk to new lows this week on spending 15 minutes each day in my sewing room.

Only 3 days where time was spent on sewing activities.  This was a week where life did get in the way.  The biggest deal breaker was probably the two day "never ending" headache.  I can usually work through one of these periods, but in the evening all I want to do is go to bed, which is pretty much where I spent Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

I have high hopes for this week.  The binding is made for the Castle quilt.  It just needs to be pressed and sewn on.  The young lady who is the future owner of that quilt will finish up the radiation treatments next week and be coming home for a month to rest before she has to go back for chemotherapy treatments.   Thankfully, the treatments have been working and the brain tumors are gone.

Well that's it for me this week.  I'm hoping to do spend more time in the sewing room over the next 7 days.  How did you do this week?  Link up below and share your success.

I know you haven't been able to spend as much time sewing as you'd like, but you're still getting things done!
We're supposed to hit the low 90's today with high humidity! What a difference from yesterday where it was in the low to mid 60's with a little rain.

Every week isnt going to be a diamond Kate. Im very much enjoying the "sewing when I feel like it and celebrating my total weekly achievements" phase.

Hope you find the time for as much craftiness as you want to get done this week.

Headache's are the pits who invented those and the lingering ones are the worse. The house of seabreeze has been visited by gastro this week I was out for a day or so and my son had it bad as well and ended up losing 5kg off his 36kg frame, he is making up for it though now and I am sure that it will pile back on quick smart. I did have a good week for getting on with stuff finished a bag (birthday pressie will be able to post pictures tomorrow) and applique sampler and started on stuff for christmas in july designs for online retreat. We luckily had a mild summer last year I am sure the stinking hot days will be back next summer.

Headaches trump all. I hope this next week is better. Heard on the news today that the weekend will finally have some cooler weather.

My daughter suffers from those 'days long' migraine headaches. She also has a difficult time carrying on. Feel good about being able to get as much done as you did.

Hope your headache is gone and life has resumed :) Why is it when we think Oh Boy Summer is here and I can sew, things happen to intervene?? LOL
